when did your LO care about interacting with other babies

my son is 7 and 1/2 months and doesn't seem to care too much about other babies yet. I'm certainly not concerned or anything! I am just wondering when it would be of any interest to him to have a date set up with other children

My son is turning two next week. He's been going to Gymboree 2-4 times a week since he was 6 months old. It's very common for kids to not interact with each other so they promote parallel play early on. 
My son loves to interact with other kids but mostly a majority of the kids in his current age group (22-36 months) still aren't interested.

My son’s been in daycare since 3 months, he was the youngest and the only boy, he’s always liked watching any toddler girls when we go out. He’s 13 months now and it’s only been recently that he tries to interact with them by waving or smiling at them. What I see at daycare he still doesn’t play WITH them just plays alongside the other kids and thinks it’s funny when they talk to him.

My daughter is about to be 5 months. She definitely sees and laughs at others. She gets very distracted in public because she likes watching what everyone’s doing lol I have a friend who has a daughter 4 days younger than my daughter and we do play dates all the time. She’s very interested but not full out playing with her yet.

My son is 13 months and just recently started REALLY getting excited to see other kids. He still doesn't play with them exactly, he'll play next to them, but he does enjoy seeing them and watching them.
