I started the skyla about two years ago and for the first few months I had a ton of bleeding most all of the time. When I hit the six month mark, my periods started to be more regular then ever. I was able to guess the exact day that I would start my period every month. My periods were also very light, and lasted just a few days. However, a few months ago something changed and now my periods are late every single month and they last for weeks! I’ve also noticed that my cycle ranges from every 36 days to every 40 days instead of the typical 30 days. I went to my doctors office and she checked my iud which seemed to be perfectly in place and she told me that it was normal to have weird periods with an iud but I’m still wondering if this is normal. What is going on? Does anyone else experience this?
