I work for an ambulatory vet, so we go to our clients. I've been out on maternity leave and it was my first week back.

Before pregnancy I was 115 lbs and fit, im now 2 months PP about 125lbs and I still have a little bit of a stomach to shed plus I'm only 5 ft so it shows more. A DR I was working with just had her daughter a week before me so she came back at the same time and we were working together ( she is 6'3 and you can't tell she had a baby)

A client came up and did the oh congrats on coming back and stuff. She looked at me and goes "wow, you still have a baby bump, I guess you didn't bounce back like her".

I was beyond floored and didn't know how to respond. I get I have some flab, a ton of stretch marks covering my boobs and stomach, a bladder that's temperamental but not everyone can bounce back at the drop of a hat. It's not like I wasn't active.

People can be so cruel.
