He won't answer my prayers!!!!!

I pray every night, in the morning, before I eat, and sometimes randomly but whatever I'm praying for it seems like God never answers me and everyone I've talk to about it tell me to stay patient, but sometimes it's so hard to do. What should I do more of to build a relationship with God???
