How long did your newborn fit into newborn size clothes?

I'm thinking of buying 5 sleepers in the newborn size and a pack of onesies. Since we'll probably be at home most of the time he fits into newborn still.
Curious how long your 6-7 lb at birth babies wore newborn clothes?

My LO was born 8lbs 5oz and wore newborn til he was about 1mo, in Carter's sizing, which runs a little more generous I think. Gerber and children's place run small.

My daughter was 7.9 and then lost some weight, but she was in nb stuff until a month and half old, and outfits that were separates like a top and shorts she wore until 2 1/2 months.

My son was 6 lbs 13 oz and he was in the carter onesies for about 5 weeks. I had 5 sleepers and they were really all he lived in.
