This was the question I wanted to ask a facebook friend today. She proudly posted a video of a Mom whipping her son with a belt on the back, arm, butt and legs, he looked to be about 4 years all. Why, because he wasn't listening when she said to grab his back pack and back talked her. She proudly shared it along with many others, saying they are going to give their kids old fashioned whoopings. Many people see this as okay. But, for some reason the thought of a man beating his wife with a belt is alarming and screams domestic abuse, so why is it not child abuse? If you wouldn't let someone hit you for doing something wrong, why hit a child? I really don't understand. Wish I could get the video link to work, but 2k people liking and laughing at a video of a small child being snacked with a belt and agreeing with it! I don't get it!!
