My job cut my hours because I’m pregnant??

I’m 27 weeks pregnant and I’m working as a server at a restaurant. I have absolutely no restrictions and my pregnancy is normal I’m fast and I work hard. My job has cut me down to about 6 hours a week and I’m beginning to think they want me to quit. I’m not sure what to do. I’m trying to save money right now and this is the WORST timing ever. I’ve spoken with my manager about it but he just says the hours aren’t there because the restaurant isn’t busy. I know that’s not true because other people are getting hours but myself and my other pregnant co worker have been cut way down. I’m not sure what to do I’ve been applying for seasonal jobs but I’m really thinking about quitting my current job. Has this happened to anyone else?

id say report management and get a paper trail. thats something that they should definitely NOT get away with.

Definitely report that. Get together with the other pregnant woman and file a report to hr. That is workplace discrimination!

Whatever you do don’t quit! If you’re entitled to maternity leave/ st disability you will lose those benefits if you quit.

did they give you prior notice, like written word? because they can't actually cut your hours unless they tell you so, unless you are already part time.

What are you actually contracted? In the uk most places can detract/add by 10% under needs for the business before having to shove warning of hour changes.Sorry you’re going through this 😕
