how much clothes do babies actually need??

like the whole first year, about how many outfits do i need??? everyone tells me not to buy baby clothes until after the shower, but i wanna buy bigger clothes so i'll already have them.. plus i just love getting my son cute little outfits, i cant stop. but i dont wanna over or under do it

We have about 10-15 onesies, 2 pairs of PJs, 3 nice outfits, and 3 dresses in every side. It’s been enough that she wears it all without wasting and still only wears the same outfit/onesie maybe 2-3 times before she outgrows it.

I mean, everyone says that but honestly newborn stage is the most easiest. All they’ll ever wear the first month is onesies. So you can buy a few of those for newborn. But once they hit a month they either get poop on them all the time because they tend to have blow outs or they’ll drip milk all over it. I always buy an outfit if I come across a baby store. I like to have different outfits for my daughter. I can’t really tell yuh how many outfits you’ll need but if you like to have options then buy quite a few.

I still buy an outfit everytime i go to target.lol we just wear everything once before duplicating. My boy is 5 weeks and still wears newborn and is starting 0-3m. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not sure. I haven't given birth yet. So far I've bought around 25 onesies/gowns/pants ages NB-6m, mostly 0-3 sizes. I plan on buying as I go , instead of buying ahead, unless I see crazy good deals. I don't plan on buying up to 12m until she's here and I see how fast she grows out of what I got her so far.

You need a lot from around 3 months up. 6 and 9 months are the most of what you'll need. newborn to 3 months clothes are outgrown quickly.

I bought before the shower but it was 6months and up since they stay in bigger sizes longer. After the shower I didn’t buy any NB or 0-3 because I personally feel it’s a waste of money. One wear and you have to pass it on so I just have the things I got from the shower in those sizes (which is more than enough). No one can tell you how many outfits to buy but I will say buy it a little bigger so he/she can get more wear out of it! I always buy my baby something but I also bargain shop first than pay regular price. She’s a nane... she won’t know
