My husband and I have been together since we were 16. Everyone always said we were to young and would never make it. Jokes on them. 
I have had my best friend since I was 16 and now forever.

My boyfriend is my first real, mature relationship and first boyfriend. But I had previous casual things like hookups and friends with benefits before him. We were 18 and 21 when we met and now I’m 21 and he’s almost 24. I’d say situations like that are more like to last or be successful than say I first boyfriend in middle school or high school. Not that they can’t. I just personally think there’s more to explore once you become an adult. I didn’t then no I was going to fall in love at 18, almost 19. There’s just no need to rush into things, is all I’m saying. You’ll know when you know, but it can also be hard to tell the difference between love and lust. I thought I was in love with this guy once before my boyfriend and thought maybe he loved me and boy was I wrong. I also think people do things differently in different places. Some people are taught that they need to meet a nice girl/boy  and settle down, others (like me), are taught to be independent and explore and when it happens, it happens. I don’t think finding love should be the most important thing in life, and especially not at a young age, but it does happen.
