Hey ladies. On my second Baby and sharing my weaning story with everyone.

It started Wednesday morning. I’m getting bad cramps and uterine contractions. I have my husband get my daughter some breakfast. As I’m in the bathroom I decided it’s time to wean. I don’t want to risk a miscarriage. I’m already high risk. I walk in the kitchen and my daughter is in her chair

I tell my husband what’s going on “I’m gonna need your help, I need to take it easy.” He is like

So I decide to call in a favor

Luckily an angel answers. My mom agrees to help, she says she will take the baby tonight and bring her back in the morning then she will take her again the following night. I know this kid won’t take anything but boobs from me and I’m hoping this will break the pattern.

Okay fast forward to nap time. My daughter is ready for boobs. I’ve got to say no, stick to my guns

She isn’t having it. She starts protesting calling me all sorts of names I’m sure. I couldn’t understand a lick of what she said and I’m glad.

I have to deal with this crankiness until the end of the day. Finally my mom comes around 6pm to get this monster. She has refused to nap all day.

I get ready for bed and get on the night night train. Suddenly I feel I’m swimming

I’ve woken up in a pool of breast milk, the bed is soaked. I get up and get two baby towels. One for the bed and one that I folded and stuffed in my bra. Now I’m gettin emotional.

I’m loosing the milk I worked so hard on

But Back to sleep I go. I wake up to the boob vampire.

She is giving me hugs and kisses and at first, I think she misses me then she tries to pull down my bra

I refuse her and she isn’t happy. Smacks down on my Tatas and the pain starts

I spent the rest of the week, fighting off my toddler and dealing with the most tender boobs of my entire life but finally, my boobs have shrunk and my daughter is drinking regular milk for me.

So for the win!

Anyone else have to wean recently? I had literally no advice for my weaning except to wear cabbage. Not sure if it helped or just made me feel like a weirdo in public .
