Coffee while pregnant?

I’ve heard so many different things on caffeine and pregnancy. 
Ive Heard it’s safe to have one caffeinated beverage a day, then I’ve also heard none   
What are everyone’s thoughts on a cup of coffee in the morning while pregnant?

I have 2 cups of coffee everyday and did the same with my first pregnancy as well. Both healthy babies ☕️👍🏻

I was told to keep caffeine intake to under 200 mg a day. I had a cup of coffee almost every day throughout my second and third trimester and I now have a perfectly healthy baby boy😊

I drank a cup of coffee every morning & another as a pick me up in the afternoon with all 3 of my pregnancies & all were fine. However, I was not high risk at the time. Ive also heard it’s not safe for women who go into early labor or women with preeclampsia? In my case, my dr simply said to keep caffeine to a minimum (not drink coffee & soda etc multiple times in a day...a cup or two of one or the other is fine), but since every woman’s situation is unique, ask your obgyn. When it was rough for me was AFTER my babies were here, when I was breastfeeding. Oh good lord with the sleepless nights it was HARD giving it up then...but I sure the heck wasn’t giving my baby coffee lol...now I’m 35 & ttc #4....trying to give up one cup a day before pregnancy this time. Just because I was nervous I waited until the second trimester to have any coffee, but my doctor says up to 2 cups a day is fine

I'm currently drinking my one cup of coffee, it's my favorite thing to look forward to in the morning 🤗 
I'm 33+4 days and I started drinking coffee again around 20 weeks!

Everyone says it’s okay, but I don’t. 
I wasn’t an everyday coffee drinker though. I would just have coffee if I happened to be at a Starbucks for a meeting or have an early flight at the airport. 
So it was no biggie for me to just decide not to have any during my pregnancy.

They say one cup a day is fine but I gave it up the first month we started trying. Now our second month and I got my bfp. Not drinking coffee for the whole pregnancy. That's just my personal choice.

I have a coffee when I'm heading to work or in the morning before work. I won't have it on my days off I don't feel I need it

The studies they base the numbers on do not control for any other habit. In one notable case, a mother confessed to using cocaine while pregnant, get her child's birth defect was attributed to caffeine! While it may be healthier to forgo the cup of Joe for a lot of reasons there has not been a good study showing it causes birth defects (from my research). I take a break when I need to for morning sickness, then resume 1-2 cups a day for the rest of pregnancy, unless it seems to be waking the baby up at the wrong time (when I am trying to sleep) later on.
The other faulty connection from the studies is that mothers who continue drinking are more likely to miscarry.  This is apparently due to the link between nausea and a healthy pregnancy, not the presence or absence of caffeine.
Sadly, from what I have read, the studies on alcohol related problems are not much better. As with most things, moderate use is almost indistinguishable from non-use. Take all this with a grain of salt and do your own research, but don't just assume the doctor is speaking gospel.
