Flu shot at 34 weeks?

I'm contemplating getting the flu shot. I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I've never had it before. My doctor said to get the preservative free flu shot. I'm just curious of other women's experiences with this.

It's never been tested on pregnant woman, for that reason alone I will avoid. Same for Whooping cough. I can't imagine having substances that aren't tested injected into my body whilst growing my baba. Just my opinion.

I get the flu shot every year and have never had issues. I just got it along with TDAP a few days shy of 34 weeks. I work in an elementary school where germs are rampant, so getting these shots was very important to me.

I wouldn't get it! Just saw a headline in a paper the other day where they're connecting flu shots to miscarriages! Do your research first!!

I’m in the same boat as you. I haven’t ever gotten the flu shot and am soooo hesitant to do it. But I’m just worried about baby because of when he will be born and how weak his immune system will be so I keep thinking maybe I will....

My husband and I are getting flu and tdap shots tomorrow!  Doctor recommended

I also was unsure of the flu shot! I have only had it one other time and I got extremely sick the evening after I got the shot! My dr recommended pregnant women get it because she has seen many pregnant women with the flu end up in ICU! I ended up getting my second ever flu shot on Saturday and had no symptoms other then a sore arm! I am relieved and happy I decided to get the flu shot to protect baby girl! I got the Tdap at 28 weeks and flu shot at 32 weeks. You pass the antibodies on to your little one and I’m all for protecting my little man. The flu shot hurt for a couple days but that was it.

I'm 31 weeks. Not having it. Have never had flu. Am offered it at work every year and never have it. Just not interested. I've had whooping cough, happy with that one just don't see the need for the flu one.
