Teen pregnancy

Cailin

I have seen quite a few posts lately about teens wanting to get pregnant. I got pregnant at 13 and had the baby at 14, not even have a year ago. I just wanted to let everyone know it's not fun to be pregnant. It's painful and terrifying. It's not fun to be in labor. It's painful and feels impossible. For older women, it's easier because their bodies are fully developed and they're mentally more prepared for doing that. And as a teen, especially younger teenagers, there's a greater chance for your baby to be born earlier than it should be which is dangerous for them. I was in labor for 9 hours before I had a panic attack and had to have an emergency c section done. That was also painful. Kind of obvious since your body gets cut open.

And then there's the social aspect of things. Now I don't have any friends and my parents don't trust me to even go to school. I just want to be able to go to the mall or to the movies with my friends but I can't do that. If I knew that was going to be the result of all of this, I'd have not had sex at all. I don't even think I wanted to anyways. And for girls who think an older boy really likes you and really loves you when he says he does, he's probably lying. Stay away from him because he just wants to take advantage of you and it hurts. And then it hurts even more when your parents are pressing charges and you have to tell a bunch of different people what happened and every single detail of it. So think before you have sex with someone. If it doesn't feel right and you're scared, it's probably not a good idea.
