Choose to be induced or wait?

I just had my 39 week check and I'm 2 cm and 50% effaced. My midwife scheduled for me to be induced one day before 40 weeks. There is absolutely no medical reason and I'm certainly not beyond miserable yet. She said my body would respond perfectly bc my cervix is very soft, but I'm having my doubts. At this point it is my choice. I just want my body to respond appropriately and have a quick and easy labor. What would you all do???
