Opinions??

So I’ve been talking with this guy for over a year, who lives on the other side of the ocean from me. We have met just once in person but talk nearly every day and I like him very very much, and I know he likes me too. It’s complicated because I feel like he is the one I want to spend my life with but I’d feel terrible telling him how deeply I feel about him over text or the phone. I also reason that he must feel similar for me, because who talks to a girl across the ocean every single day without hoping it could be? Do big romantic gestures like flying across the ocean to tell someone you love them only work in the movies? Or could it be a real life thing too?
