How did your doctor monitor your pregnancy?

I have PCOS and I am 5 weeks pregnant. (Which I’m super stoked about) but I’m worried my doctor isn’t doing much to monitor if everything is going okay. That said, this is my first pregnancy and I’m not really sure if they do monitor anything. My first appointment is on the 20th of Nov 11 weeks) which seems like forever away. Does he need to be checking my progesterone or hcg levels?

Relax if you can. I was on metformin and overweight. They don’t tend to see you till at least 8 weeks. That was my only dr visit till much later in my pregnancy. I found a homebirth midwife. PCOS did not effect my pregnancy at all and my midwife was not concerned.

I’m just as scared! I’m constantly googling and trying to find answers to questions I have. My first ultrasound isn’t until November 8th and that’s my 8 week mark. I  am just so paranoid because everything I read says PCOS is such a high rate of miscarriage.

my doctor does the same. pregnancy is good i am at 23 weeks so im sure to her she feels theres no concerns right now. alot of women with pcos have healthy babies. congrats (: try to stay calm.

I feel the same as you.  First child, 4 1/2 weeks.  I found out on Friday and haven’t called a doc for an appt yet but I am also concerned
