Bleeding During/After Sex

I am 25 weeks pregnant, going on 26 weeks now, and last week had a bit of a scare. I hadn’t had sex in a couple of months and last week decided to give it a shot with my babies father. Everything was all well and fine until he told me I was bleeding a little bit towards the end. Nothing was hurting. Turns out a little bit to him seemed like a lot to me, to the point where it was running down my legs. I ended up calling my on call OB and she suggested I go into the hospital. They kept me over night for observation as I started having mild contractions and the bleeding continued. All turned out okay, I am fine. Baby is fine, happy and healthy and moving around constantly. Just a bit of a scare and stressful evening at the hospital.

I’m just wondering if this has happened to others to this extent, and if they gave up on sex all together after? My Doctor never said not to have sex anymore, she just didn’t suggest I do right away (why would I want to??)
