Genetic testing?

Anyone else choose not to do the testing?

My husband & I chose not to. Insurance would have covered it but we ultimately just said "if there was anything wrong, would we do anything about it?" To which we obviously knew was a hell no. Our little girl is completely healthy and if she wasn't, it wouldn't change a thing to us.

i refused mine, mainly to me i thought i did not want to worry at all and even if there was something wrong/ different it would not make me love the baby any less or make me want a miscarriage! just my thoughts!

Since my initial blood draw at my 8 week appointment, I've opted out of the rest. At my 16 week appointment they offered the quad screening, but I didn't want it for a few reasons.

yes. wasn't covered under insurance though. Was only $100 and we got to find out the gender.

I didn't because I live in Brazil and this sort of testing is just stupidly expensive here...but I would have loved to have down early genetic testing since I have a history of Huntingtons in my family and if he had come up positive we will have chosen to terminate the pregnancy. Thankfully all of his ultrasounds and other exams came up normal so far... so fingers crossed my little love will be healthy!

I did my first part of the ultrasound and blood work and everything was good. I do another set of blood work at 18 weeks but won't be doing any other testing as I do know there is chances of possible miscarriage.

Yes, we did it. Insurance covered it and we are both healthy but decided to just do it anyway. Personal decision no right or wrong choice

I chose not to, my fiancé and I are both young and healthy with no issues in either side of the family. We also decided that no matter what we would love our daughter. Also ultrasounds usually can pick up any abnormalities later in pregnancy. We're 20 weeks 4 days and so far baby is healthy and active and that's all that matters!
