Should I buy one?

I'm 14 and obviously a virgin and I also haven't used a tampon before. Lately I've been thinking about getting a menstrual cup because it seems a lot easier. I'm a bit worried and have a few questions. Does it hurt? How do I know what size to get? Can u wear it horse back riding (I ride)? Can you feel it? Tips for getting my parents to buy me one. Please comment the pros and cons, thanks heaps!

I’m 13 almost 14 and I’ve been using a mensural cup for my last three periods. I love them so much! Some of the brands I recommend is the Lena Cup or the Moon cup make sure to get the smallest size. Using a menustral cup will not hurt if u insert it correctly and remove it correctly. You can defiantly wear it for horse back riding because u can wear it swimming. You can’t feel it if it is inserted or removed correctly. Make sure to boil your cup every three days to kill bacteria. Also wash with soap and water after every time u empty it. To convince your parents tell them they will be saving money. Most cups are around $30-$40 and they can last up to 10 years. An average box of tampons costs around $6-$8 and that is usually about only 18 tampons. Another thing that will help convince your parents is that it is more eco friendly. By using a menustral cup you a reducing the amount of waste you create (used pads/tampons, wrappers, boxes, etc) I hope this helps you in your decisions!

you can go to your local drug store and they have diva cups for 40 dollars CAD
They are the best investment i have gotten!!
the only problem for me is i do get a bit of blood on my hands and it can be a pain to change in school but its works really well for me and i dont have really any leaks compared to when i wore tampons.
it will take a bit of work to get the hang of how it works thought.

Yes!! Definitely worth a shot, 2nd time using and it takes away most of the stress that comes with the bloody time. 
I got the sckoon cup and love it!  highly recommend. The only thing I need to get used to is taking I it out... ehh

STORY TIME:
Alright, so when I was 18, I bought a cup. I was so excited to use it! So when my period came around, and I was so heavy I gave it a shot. Getting it in was the easy part. But getting it out, now that's the fun part. I couldn't get it out. It hurt so f*cking bad trying to get that sh*t out. I sh*t you not, I asked Google "how do you get a f*cking menstral cup out?" I'm sitting on the toilet using my pinky to scroll through Yahoo Answers because my hands were covered in blood, trying to figure it out. Finally I read that someone said they did a squat to the floor, pinched and pulled as quick as they could just to get it out. So I tried it, while simultaneously freaking out, wondering how I was going to get to the ER to have a doctor help me get it out. I finally pull hard enough, and it pops out. THANK YOU JESUS! I yelled (pretty sure my neighbors heard that cause now that don't really look at me) So the cup comes out, and so does all the blood, my f*cking bathroom looked like a damn murder scene by the end of it. Bloody handprints covered my sink, toilet, wall, and my pants. I went straight to the shower and haven't touched the cup since.

I'd say you'll have to get comfortable with stuff in your vagina before you can use the cup. Maybe try putting your fingers insides and see how it feels.
