how many people are allowed in the delivery room?

So it's me and my bfs mom's first grandchild and I don't want to be rude but I only want my mother and him in the room but I know both of the mom's want to be in the room during delivery and I'm pretty sure only two people can be in their. Is it wrong to keep his mom out while my mother is in their or should I just keep both mothers out and have just me and him I don't want to be unfair. but I still really want my mom in their for me too..

It's not rude of you at all to say you want your mom to be the one in there. While his mom is very important and a grandma to the child too, YOU are the one in labor, not him, and you deserve to have your mom there if you want. His mom should understand. Tell her you would love to have her in the room after the birth (if that is the case).

I had to hurt my MIL feelings at my sons birth because I didn’t want her in there during the birth and she wanted to be. I had my mom and my husband

It completely depends on the hospital. If you aren’t comfortable telling his mom that you don’t want her there, then just tell her you can’t have that many people because of hospital policy (regardless of the actual policy). It’s YOUR delivery, people should understand that it’s not going to exactly be a party in there.

If you only want your mom and bf in there then that’s that. I don’t ever want my MIL there during my delivery.

Have who you want. It's your choice. You need to be comfortable. My hospital says 2 people, but they're making an exception so my niece can be there, unless complications come up. But, that is my choice.
