Yes, I'm having a crisis again. And yes I need your help.

The question: would you cut your step dad out of your and your child's life?

The backstory: my step dad sucks balls, I'm not going to lie. My mom met him and from there on it my sister and I were nothing. We went into foster care because my mom was gone so much that the neighbors found out we were living alone. When they got married, I wasn't invited because he didn't want any children there.

So now, we are having a kid. I cannot receive the pertussis vaccine due to an adverse reaction. I'm asking all family members to be vaccinated at the guidance of my doctor.

My step dad is NoT an anti vaxxer and just for his flu shot. My mom said he will not get the pertussis vaccine. When I asked why my mom stated that he doesn't like being told what to do. I said that he will not have access to our child or be called grandpa . He told her that he is "fine" with not seeing the child until

I'm devastated that he's such a self centered prick and am thinking my child probably shouldn't be exposed to him. I siffered years of mental anguish for abandonment and other shit from this guy. Thinking it best tomjust cut all ties . Thoughts?
