What if I have a crush on a guy that is very immoral

So I am 16, I'm a christian and my dad won't let me give my phone number to anyone without him giving me permission first. So there is this guy that i really like and he likes me too, he talks to me a lot and he said he is eventually going to "get me". But everyone sayes that I shouldn't trust him and that he is immoral and stuff like that. And today he texted my friend and asked her for my number and I told her not to give it to him, so naturally he asked why. I said I'm not allowed to give my number to people and he said that he had something to tell me. My friend said he could tell me at practice tomorrow, and he was like "okay fine". I think he's kinda mad but I know if I ask my dad he will definitely not let him have my number. Sorry it's so long, I guess I just want advice?

Trust your Dad on this one. At this time you really like this guy, but trust me, you will look back in a few years and thank yourself for not getting mixed up with him. If he doesn't share the same values and morals as you, let him go. You have your whole life ahead of you to meet the man that is perfect for you!

If you are in a religion and this boy is considered 'immoral', you may be crushing just because it's taboo and the 'bad boy' persona is something that society tells women they want.

However!  Not all guys that look the 'bad boy' part are actually bad.  My fiancé normally does not talk to people, had long black hair and follows a lot of death metal bands.  But he is the most trustworthy man I know.  He doesn't even look at other women, talk to other women - nothing.  I've been with him for over 4.5 years.  He's sweet, kind, and my biggest supporter in my job and hobbies.

The point to my long spiel is...for now I'd listen to your friends and father.   If this guy is really interested in you, he needs to respect you and your feelings.  Don't ever forget how important those are.

Ohhhhhh honey. The bad boys aren't worth it. I am also a Christian and my parents are very involved in my dating life. I got mixed in with a bad boy when I was 16 and he exposed me to things I never should have been exposed to. He would have never treated me right because all they want is sex, but I kept making excuses for him and telling myself that I could handle him and not let him influence me. Boy was I wrong!!! Work on the best version of yourself, and the good moral boy will just be dropped into your lap one day!! Looking back four years later I would give anything to have listened to my parents, sisters, and friends and have had just avoided all the trouble that came along with him.

Making mistakes is how we learn and grow.  You have to make your own choices and use your own judgement. I feel that at your age if your parents truly believe in how they raised you and that you have taken those leasons to heart they will show you that they trust you by loosening your leash a bit. 
My husbands christian pastor parents told him i was a satanist (we met at church), that i would ruin his life, that i was immoral and they did everything they could to make us miserable to try and break us up. 
You should be honest with this boy and your father. You can invite him over and just hang out to start or probably in your  case have extremely supervised interactions.

It seems like you don't really know if he is "immoral"... and I am wondering what you mean by that. I am also a Christian, and I went to a public school with all different kinds of people, so hopefully I can relate to you! If he is not a Christian and you believe you should only be dating a Christian, then it might be best to move on! If he is a Christian but you have just heard rumors about him, maybe you could give the guy a shot. However, as hard as it is to believe, dads often have a lot of wisdom when it comes to this stuff, and since you're not an adult yet, he is most likely looking out for your best interest and protecting you while he still can!

Something to think about - my husband and I are both Christians. I waited until marriage to have sex, but he had sex with a previous girlfriend. Let's just say he is a little bit of a "bad boy", at least for a Christian 😉 Some people might think he is immoral, but 1. The past is the past and 2. There is a lot that goes into someone's character besides a few mistakes here and there. He is a very wonderful husband, a godly man, and I am so blessed by his love every day! You can always get to know someone to find out his true character before jumping into something, and you may be surprised by what you learn!
