Contractions?

So I'm a FTM and was wondering how contractions feel. Please no rude comments or snobby remarks. Let's keep this informational please.

Like cramps in a way but also a squeezing that almost takes your breath. As long as I was relaxed I didn't find that they really hurt but they certainly took all of my concentration once I was far along.

Your stomach will get rock hard and you'll feel cramping and it may even take your breath away. It's an interesting sensation. You may even feel pressure of the baby on your vagina as you contract. Real contractions, not Braxton hicks, will continue in a stronger regular pattern. I think you may know what it is once you fee it.

With my first , I thought I needed a poo! Like little griping pains then progressed into mild to strong period pains x

At first it starts like period cramps that come and go and gets more intense from there. That's the best way I can describe it.
