Security camera in my room?? Spying on my family
I live with my parents and boyfriend temporarily (we sleep in separate rooms) and recently my parents have been saying that they’ve been having money going missing. They said it started a couple of weeks back and now my mom is saying it’s happening again.
My parents obviously blame my boyfriend and my boyfriend says it’s not him.
I don’t think it’s him for a couple of reasons such as he’s never home alone and my mom constantly changes where she hides the money and it’s always in such difficult places but always in my room but my boyfriend doesn’t know that.
But if I tell my mom that she’d say that of course I would take my boyfriends side.
Part of me feels it’s my dad taking the money cause he’s done shady stuff throughout my life and is letting my boyfriend take the fall.
Another part of me feels my mom is lying cause she doesn’t want my boyfriend and I moving in together (which we will in January) she doesn’t think I’m ready (I’m 25 FT job- been with him for 5 years- I’m ready). She wants him to move out but me to stay. While I don’t want to assume she’s go to that length, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Yet it could very well be my boyfriend.
I don’t want to start making any kind of accusations.
Well I bought a security camera.
Both of my parents keep stuff in my room so they regularly go in.
Essentially I’m spying on them and anyone who enters my room and I kind of guilty about it.
Is this even legal?
I want to get to the bottom of this cause something isn’t adding up.
I just don’t feel right spying on my family.
