Newborn only nursing 10-15 min?!

My son will be 3 weeks tomorrow. He is only nursing about 10-15 min at a time. Or 6 min on each side if I switch sides. He’s gained almost 2 pounds already so I know he’s getting something. Help☹️

My little guy is 3 weeks as well, feeds for about 15 minutes, and has gained 2 lbs from his birth weight. My LC said depending on your storage and baby's efficiency, some babies *can* get 90% of the milk from your breast in the first 10 minutes of a feeding. As long as your pediatrician and/or IBCLC aren't concerned w latch and weight gain and you're seeing good diaper output, I wouldn't worry too much about it :)

My daughter nurses for at most 8 minutes and still sucks the boob dry, as long as she’s gaining weight it’s perfectly normal.

My baby was the same way. She was fine. The dr said as long as they are gaining weight it’s not a problem
