Do prenatal classes really help?

Question

Please comment! (Sorry if I'm not using the right name, I can't think of what they're called) trying to see if they're worth going to. I've worked with children and babies my whole life so I know how to care for them and know a lot of it is learn as you go but I'm thinking it might be helpful for my bf to go to one with me?

My bf was supportive before we took the class but he's actively supportive now. For example- I was in incredible pain this morning (I think the baby moved down) so he essentially coached me and got me into a position we learn in class that helps relieve pressure. Also, I feel less terrified about the birthing process. Totally worth going to a class.

My husband and I found them helpful in preparing us for labor and birth and the days post delivery. When we had to have a emergency stat csection we felt prepared and knew what to expect even tho it wasn't our original plan.

So glad I made my hubby take these classes with me. I've been reading everything, but he's not much of a reader and i was so scared he wouldn't know what to expect. He learned tons in the class!!! Best decision and it was interesting for me too to apply some of the things I'd read about in a classroom setting

Prenatal classes are more about pregnancy and delivery than about what to do with the baby, at least from what I've found locally.

I'm interested in the Bradley method! Going to at least look into it next time I get pregnant :) hopefully hubby is on board haha.
