Baby Choking/Gagging
Okay so my daughter is currently a little over 2 months old. Ever since she was born, she has done this thing where we can just be sitting somewhere or I can be holding her and she starts gagging and acts like she is gasping for air and can’t breathe. She’ll eventually stop gagging and it sounds like she starts sucking snot down the back of her throat, almost like she has drainage. I told her pediatrician that I thought she had a stuffy nose and they recommended that I give her saline drops and clean her nose regularly and she should be fine, but I do that every day and she still does it. Has anyone else’s kids done this or experienced something like this? I’m not sure if it’s a normal thing that infants do or if I should be worried. People in our family have seen her do it, but don’t seem as concerned. Any tips/info is much appreciated! Thank you!
