Ok, for starters sorry if your offended at the terminology used, it’s not meant to offend any one but rather for shits and giggles since I’ve been seeing a lot of post about cultural costumes.

I’m from Whittier, this is a typical sight to see, so I dont consider saying chola/o as offensive. It’s like literally all my family refers to each other as.

On to the question, many people have brought up costumes that some may find offensive. Since Halloween is coming up I just thought I’d ask, but would you say dressing as a “cholo or chola” is offensive?

Disclaimer; like 90% of my Latino family refers to themselves and are the stereotypical “cholos” so for me I’m not offended by the costume, just wanted to get some opinions on it.
