Am I Strange?
Ok so I wanted to have my daughter on breast milk exclusively. I was fortunate to have an abundance of milk and she latched once she figured out she couldn't be lazy if she wanted to eat. She took the bottle and the boob, and I had plenty in a mini stockpile.
Fast forward to my maternity leave coming to an end, I could only take 8 weeks due to having taken 4 weeks taking care of my dad early in my pregnancy when he suffered a stroke. Anyway, the stress and anxiety of going back to work made milk disappeared. I mean, my boobs literally shriveled up like raisins. 😩 I tried fenugreek, and my midwife gave me some medication that made it come back in but only temporarily as you can't take it as a permanent fix. With my supply gone, I had to go to formula and thankfully, my daughter transitioned fine.
I missed breastfeeding so much but as long as my daughter was happy and thriving a dealt with it and trust me she is thriving! I mean 93rd percentile in weight-this kid misses no meals. 😂 Now to my dilemma, I want to start breastfeeding again or at least giving her breastmilk even in a bottle but is it even possible after 5 months? How do I even get started again? Is it weird to want that bond again and give my daughter the nutrients my body is meant to give her?
