Keeping child’s terminal illness from them
So I started binge watching The Good Doctor (10/10 recommend), and in one episode a doctor discovers terminal cancer in a 12-year-old patient. When he tells the parents, they tell him they already knew and 7 months ago he was given 1 year to live. They asked him to keep the information from their son, saying it’s better that he doesn’t know.

Some things to think about . . .
— the child is a minor
— parent’s argument is they want their son to enjoy the rest of the time he has and live his life to the fullest without the stress of knowing of his condition
— opposing argument is the child deserves to know the truth
