When did y’all go from formula to whole milk

Question

I feel like my 10 month old doesn’t want his formula anymore. I’ve tried even mixing with cereal or even a sweet cereal.. he’s eating about 4 oz in the morning. 8oz at lunch and 8pz at bed. Normal or no? Does he want real milk yet?

You can slowly start to wean to homogenized starting at 9 months but they should be on formula until at least a year old! Then at a year old you can switch to whole cows milk.

My daughter is 10 months. She’s not been drinking her formula so put her on to full fat cows milk roughly 2 weeks ago. She’s drinking it much better than the formula and it’s cheaper

My thing is my doctor recommends 11 months to fully transition and start. My son drinks only 7oz at naptime and 7oz before bed. Gets 1-1/2 to 2oz in cereal or oatmeal in the morning. Doctor said could switch to formula that has milk base in it to see how he likes it. He loves it but doesn't drink nearly a lot at all. I offer water for lunch and dinner along with solids and he's drinking 2oz each time or sometimes he doesn't want it. He acts thirsty so I asked the doc she said 11 months. To me if he is only drinking 14oz at almost 11 months then to me it's time for a switch. But also I don't know how he will do with it or how much to give is my issue because it's thicker and how often. So I been trying to figure it out for the switch over.

we are waiting until they turn 1 to start the transition. hopefully by 13 months old they will be fully switched

i think its normal with them eating more solids they don't need as much milk I believe on the pamphlet my lactation consultant gave it says 9-12 months should be drinks 20-28 oz a day
