Discipline for 1yr old?

My daughter is one and super bad. She doesn't listen at all, how do you guys discipline? I need help

i dont discipline i redirect. my son is naughty and gets into everything, however he has no grasp on the concept of being bad yet. if hes doing something i dont want him to i say no and move him to an appropriate activity. sometimes i just move him and he screams and cries but thats life.

I feel uncomfortable with someone calling a 1 year old bad. I have a one year old, and he is my second child. One year olds dont know right from wrong. They are just learning words, and reading expressions. The more you talk to them, the more they understand. You have to interact and show them right from wrong... I joke that my boy is exactly like a puppy. He bites on occasion now that he has four teeth, I do like you would a puppy... yelp in pain and say "no bites!" This behavior is pretty much gone except for the occasional nip when he is excited. He tries to stand in the bath, I tell him "sit on your bum!" He will sit down and laugh, then stand up again. It's like a game... it was the same with my daughter, but it's how they learn. By 1 1/2-2 she'd do something wrong intentionally and then put herself in time out.   He puts things in his mouth, I put out my hand and say "give it" he spits it out.. before that I'd have to say "give it, yucky" all while wrestling something out of his mouth grip. Then hand him something he CAN have to teeth on. It sounds weird but it's exactly like training a puppy, except they grow up and start talking and listen better, then they have conversations with you and you can explain the whys to them. Haha.

I don't really believe in disciplining a one year old but instilling the principles now is definitely effective and helpful for the future. When my daughter does things she shouldn't I tell her no firmly and shake my head no. She can shake her head no and understands certain things she shouldn't do. I will normally give her something else to play with or do. When she's older I will continue to build on this.

Discipline is not effective at this young age as kiddo doesn’t quite understand right from wrong yet. If baby does something wrong try a firm “no” and then redirect to an appropriate activity. My daughter is the same way...Never listens, and screams when she doesn’t get her way. It takes time and consistency. You got this mama.

Redirect. They’re too young to understand discipline right now. Keep saying no firmly and eventually they’ll catch on to that. Once they’re a bit older you can start time out and stuff

My son is pretty well behaved so we don't often need to tell him off. It's important for him to learn right and wrong, but I feel he's too young to understand discipline. If he is to touch something like the TV or Radiator I use a different voice (more stern and urgent) to tell him to be careful or 'hot' and move him away. I'm using the technique I used for the cat and dog, using repetition to teach him rather than shouting or discipline. I'm aware he isn't an animal before I get backlash lol. But the concept of teaching is the same.

They don’t understand discipline at this age. Redirection and consistency. When our daughter hits our face we say “no” and if she does it again we put her down. One day she will get it. I don’t expect a 1 year old to listen

u can't discipline a one year old. the best way to do it is to DISTRACT.  if they pull hair, change activities,  get up, or sit down,  move to a different room,  put baby in play pen. if they slap/bite/hit, u say a firm NO and redirect attention to a toy they like. a one year old will understand NO, but if not followed by distraction,  they will continue doing it, because to them it's funny. they are too young to understand,  and way to young to be slapped on the wrist(even just lightly), because they don't understand what they are doing its bad, especially if one day u laugh when they pull hair and another day u get mad.. redirect attention to a toy or an activity.
