How can I get him back?

So there is this guy and we went through this whole situation with his ex months ago and then stopped talking. About 2 weeks he messaged me and we have messaged since over snapchat. He then broke his phone about 4 days ago and can only message over Facebook, any sentence starters? He had a new girlfriend but then just broke up with her. I kinda like him again but I just don't know how to get him again (he liked me before but I turned him down because I was scared) Any help?
