Does tricare cover precautionary mastectomy or ovariectomy?
I am BRCA 1 positive. My mother has stage 4B ovarian cancer, and 7 women in my grandmother's line have had breast cancer before 30. I was advised to have my ovaries removed by 30. I am now 27. My boyfriend is a sergeant first class in the national guard, and because we are not married I have my own insurance for myself and our two children. We plan to get married, but do not know if Tricare covers these procedures. Has anyone dealt with this?
