no more bottle?

Doctor wants my daughter off the bottle now. She's made an easy transition to whole milk from formula and uses a soppy cup well with meals but I don't see her giving up the bottle at bed time. It's still a struggle some nights even with the bottle. Any tips?

My dr said anytime between now and 2 so we aren’t pushing getting rid of the morning and night bottle. Sippy cups all day though. She said not to worry bc she promises he “won’t get married drinking from the bottle”.

Myself and my husband decided to stick to a bottle with breakfast and a bottle before bed, just because we feel it works for us. He also has a pretty good diet as I try to avoid fatty foods as they give him a bad belly. So 2x bottles of whole milk make sure he's getting fat in his diet.

We just quit the bottle cold turkey when we switched to whole milk. BUT the bedtime bottle was never that essential for him. Getting rid of the binky, on the other hand, is something I'm not looking forward to 😕

We weaned our little guy off at 10 months. We just gave him a sippy cup with milk in it in his crib when he first wakes up. I found that’s the only way he’d actually drink a large amount. At his high chair he won’t drink more than 2oz. Then we replaced his nighttime bottle with a sippy cup. He cut his very first tooth around this time so once he got used to it, I decided to give him his nighttime milk during his late nap (from 3pm to 5pm) and brush his teeth before bed. I give him a sippycup with water in it at nighttime. Sometimes he drinks it, sometimes he doesn’t. But just laying him down with a sippy cup helped us tremendously and we’ve had no issues with getting rid of the bottles.
