Best career advice for someone going into med school?

Question

I am a junior in high school and I'm planning on going to med school for pediatric oncology. what would you say is the best advice?  the thought of college sometimes overwhelms me

Make sure you know your algebra, have a basic knowledge on anatomy and physiology (take the class if you can in hs), have a basic knowledge in chem and physics, you must know and like biology and math to make your way into med school. Food science is also great if you are in high school. You will learn about proteins and what it doesn't in your body etc and you learn that in bio 1.
Just know that high school chemistry and anatomy and bio are nothing like college ones, college ones go waaaay more in depth so prepare yourself for that. Having some knowledge on the classes will really really help you and put you ahead.

I would also shadow somewhere in the field so you get an idea of what you’ll be going through in the future.
