my husband pretty much forced me to go out with our daughter within the first month, but I can't remember exactly when. AND he wanted to baby wear her in the grocery store. I had wicked bad anxiety the entire time on the verge of tears. He was going to go back a few aisles for something he forgot and I nearly lost my mind. I mean, she was literally CONNECTED to me for 9 months and he wanted to take her out of my sight? 😨 we had only been apart a total of about an hour since she was born (for her tests and shots in the hospital)    go when you're ready and take your time. it's a whole new world when you have a new baby!

We went out, just no place crowded and we kept baby's stroller/carseat covered.

For her first doctors appointment and she was born a week before Thanksgiving so I went to the store to buy stuff...second baby. First baby was born 2 weeks before Thanksgiving so same thing plus her first appointment as well...

We went out the same week coming home. But I wore a wrap with him so no one would come up and feel like they need to get right up in his face because he was on me and all family members were very good about washing hands constantly.

I waited until six weeks. My husband was laid off at the time, so he just ran errands for me. If he'd been working, I'd have had to take my son out almost immediately for errands and such.
