I have a serious question, only because I’m genuinely curious . . Also I didn’t know where to post this so I figured I would post it here. . .

For the kids who get placed for adoption, why is it so expensive to adopt a child? I know there’s women out there who can’t have kids, can’t afford treatments and can’t afford adoption because of how much it costs. Kids are stuck in the foster care system & stuck with adoption agencies because of how expensive it is for someone to come and give them their forever home but why are adoption prices so high? Why do we have to pay to give a child the home their parents either couldn’t give them or just didn’t want to give them?

*This isn’t a debate about “if you can’t afford to adopt a child you can’t afford to raise one” this is solely just me wondering why it’s so much to adopt one*
