Do I need a c section?
This is my second pregnancy. I gave birth to my first vaginally and unmedicated, but he was a big baby (10 lbs 9 oz) and we did have a few issues. I had multiple tears, one being 4th degree, and I lost a lot of blood. I needed blood transfusions the next day due to passing out from blood loss. However, other than that I feel like I healed great and didn't have that many issues, minor pain every once and awhile.
My doctor is already suggesting that I'm a good candidate for a c section, so I'm not seeking medical advice- just what would you do? Typically, I'm very naturally minded and like to avoid unnecessary medical procedures/interventions but having to think about it so early (20 weeks) has me feeling a little anxious.
I know our bodies are capable of amazing things, like birthing giant babies, and I also know that sometime c sections are necessary. I'm honestly terrified of epidurals and the thought of a c section but I don't know if trying to birth another giant baby will cause permanent issues for me. What would you do? Or what do you think?
