To much to soon?

I'm 5'1 and weight 218. I am 9weeks and 2 days pregnant and I've gained 2 lbs already I don't go for my first OB  appt till this Thursday. Is that to much to gain so soon? I'm an emotional mess!!

No, you're just fine. 
Don't let the bloody scale dictate to you. Just eat quality foods for you and baby and try and walk every day. 
If your health care provider makes you feel uncomfortable or guilty about it, find a new one.

I am overweight also and was told by my midwife not to gain any weight until 29 weeks. Because that early your baby doesn't weigh anything yet so there's no reason to gain.
