We found fleas on our dog... how do we get rid of them in our home?

The vet doesn’t seem to care, our building isn’t responding to us currently.

We have used a pesticide shampoo on him, that got rid of about 6 fleas.

We washed all our bedding and his and vacuumed. Found about 7 fleas and a lot of the flea crap.

We also got an oral medication which dropped about 8 more off of him.

We also are getting the food grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) to put on every fabric we can in our home and will be putting a flea collar on him after a combing tonight.

We are drying the bedding and blankets/pillows around our home for the next week or two on high heat. And vacuuming as often as possible.

I ordered a big proof mattress cover I am planning on using.

I am so grossed out and am losing sleep over this. Any advice is welcome.
