Would this bother you?

Okay so my boyfriend had this friend. From my knowledge he has not seen her or spoken to her in months because I was very uncomfortable with the way she acted around him. She is out of the picture now but the way she acted around my boyfriend drove me absolutely insane so I want some of your opinions.

So to start off they met roughly last December at work, but didn’t become actual friend until January. My boyfriend and I met in January and starting dating that month as well. In February is when I started to realize how close she was with him, especially after only knowing each other for a short period of time. She would consistently call him when she had an anxiety attack instead of her own boyfriend and vent to him for hours, he’d be there to help her out and I understood because e is like that with all his friends. She then would ask him to bring her a coffee or food to work AT LEAST once a week. She was in beauty school and would tell him he had to come in to get a mani or pedi and even a waxing or haircut, all which he paid for!! He never seemed to be fond of it after the fact and seemed to do it because he is a nice guy and couldn’t tell her no. She then complained about her boyfriend not getting her roses on Valentine’s Day and he wound up bringing her a candy one to make her feel better. A month or so later she told him she wanted to meet up for lunch then decided she wanted to go to lovers lane and needed him to pick out something for her and her boyfriend to use. I kept my mouth shut about all of this for a while, but after the last instance I exploded. It drove me insane how she clung to him. His best friend would even refer to her as his “stalker”. She seemed so manipulative and so uncomfortably close and touchy for no reason and I couldn’t handle it, especially since they were only friends since as long as we were dating. He has plenty of other friends who are girls and none of them bothered me, she used to monopolize his time and almost have him treat her better than me. Everything has been fixed now after a brought it up and he hasn’t seen or talked to her since he knows it bothers me but I want your opinions. Was my reaction warranted for these things? How would you have reacted to it? Have you had this problem as well?
