Switching from breast milk to formula?

My daughter is 11 days old and we have been exclusively breastfeeding. We have had many problems and now with talking to my doctor she suggest to switch to formula.  Please no judging I tried my hardest. Does anyone know if this will effect her and make her sick?

No, my sister had to do that. The harder part may be finding a formula that works for her as my nephew had a very sensitive stomach and milk allergy. Just try to buy small or sample sizes to see how she reacts. Good luck, and remember fed is best- you're doing great mama

It could be a slight transition for her at first but she’ll be just fine. I don’t know why formula feeding makes parents feel so horrible. I never even attempted breast feeding because I flat out just didn’t want to. I had zero desire to breast feed and don’t feel bad about that one bit. My daughter is a very happy and healthy 5 month old.

Starting the transition myself today due to baby protein intolerance. I’ve been exclusively pumping for 6 weeks and I’m DONE! hopefully by this changing will help my sons acid reflux and tummy troubles.
