What made you want to have more kids?

Question

I’ve always said that I wanted 2 kids. 
I just had my first baby about a month ago and I love him to death but it’s also been the hardest month of my life which makes me question whether or not I really want to do this all over again with baby #2. 
I’m just curious, is it just me that’s struggling with this whole new life adjustment and doesn’t want to do it again or is it something that I will “forget” about once my baby gets older and life gets easier?? 
I really still want for my child to have a sibling but right now I feel like I might lose my mind doing it all over again and with a toddler to take care of as well !

I’m the exact same way, but I will say, as each month passes, the feeling goes away a little bit more. For the first two months, I thought there was no way I was going to have a second. The third month got a little easier but I was still pretty sure I was going to stick to one kid. Now that he’s 4 months and I can see that it really does keep getting easier (and it’s not just something people tell you ), I’m back to reconsidering having a second child in another couple years. Now getting my husband back on board is a different story.

I knew right after I gave birth I wanted to be pregnant by the time she was 1. We didn’t get pregnant until after her first birthday and my two kiddos are 23 months apart. Now we have a 2 and a 4 year old and are 6 weeks pregnant with baby #3. I really had a hard time when I brought my first home and it took me like 5 months to feel normal again. With my second we transitioned every easy. My daughter was a great big sister and helped out a lot even through she was young.

My daughter was 6 months old when I told my husband I was done... turns out I was already 7 weeks pregnant again!
Two kids is hard at first, but when they have a playmate it’s not so bad! With only one kid, you always have to be their amusement.

I was the same as you. My baby is 10 months and we still struggle a great deal.  I originally wanted 2 and I'm still not sure that's what i want mainly because I'm not sure i could cope. So to be honest we're still unsure about baby no. 2. I'm just waiting until I feel perfectly sure either way or the other. They say no two babies are the same so maybe baby no. 2 will be easier. But even if it does get easier as she grows up, having a young child AND a difficult newborn is hard. So....

It just takes a while. My daughter just turned 18 months and I just now really like the idea of having a second child. Before that I was perfectly fine with only having one.

I had a hard first three months (I was quiet sick) with my son but knew I wanted a larger family. I found transition from no kids to one was way harder then from one to two kids. You already have an idea of how things go and as you add more kids everyone adapts. Also your older kid will be about 9 months older and more independent from when you first get pregnant. I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with baby 3.

I just found out I'm pregnant with my second. My first is 19 months so things are definitely different. When mine was a month old things were very hard. I think adjusting to the first baby is difficult but as he gets older things do get easier. You learn more and there's less worrying and you start to feel more confident as a mother. Right now you should just focus on being a mom to one and I feel like when the time is right you will know if you can handle another. I think it will be easier the second time around because you know more what to expect and how life with a newborn is. I think you just need time

I feel the exact same way, always wanted at least 2 kids but after having my first (now 10 weeks old) the thought of having another and going through this newborn stage is terrifying.  The first month was definitely the hardest and v even though my little guy is only 2 months old I can already see how you begin to miss them being brand new...I love the changes he’s going through but they make me sad at the same time because it seems like time is passing too quickly.  We will definitely be waiting at least 3 years before getting pregnant again though!
