Someone wrote a check for my 2 week old daughter and my mom put it in her bank account because she thought I was going to "spend it on myself" like 1. that's insulting 2. I gave up spending money on myself when she was born...everything in my bank account... any money people have given me has gone straight to my daughter I'm 20 and married and still treated like a kid 😤😤 what would you do in this situation...?

Uhm, no. That money is for your daughter. How did your mom even put it in her account? You, being the parent would’ve needed to sign that check. I would talk to your mother about how inappropriate her behavior is and if she’s not willing to respect you as an adult and a parent then she is not going to be able to have a relationship with you and your family. 
But if you’re looking for suggestions, I just opened a “nest egg” account for my daughter when she was born. My husband and I put a little bit away each month and family members are able to just put $$ in the account for her birthday or Christmas or whatever holiday if they give us money. That way it is separate from our money.

That’s really messed up. You’re an adult and married so for her to do that I understand completely why you’re upset.  . I would inform the person who gave you the check of the situation & if the check wasn’t written out to your mom she can get in trouble for that. That’s money she’s taking from your daughter. . . I hope you get everything sorted out.
