Is anyone else getting sick and tired of people telling you to "just wait" when you say you're tired?

I'm so over it. I'm aware of what is going to happen. Thanks. But I'm tired AND uncomfortable. So let me whine.

I'm so with you on this, I can make the slightest innocent comment and if I'm with certain people there's always one that's guaranteed to come back with a comment about what it will be like when the baby is here...It's my first baby but not the first baby I'll have ever know, I'm well aware of what it will be like but at least I'll have my little human to snuggle  and won't be so uncomfortable

People don’t even just ask “how are you?”, they’ll ask me “are you tired?” And then give me a hard time when I say I am, with “it’s going to be worse when Baby gets here!” First of all, I’ve suffered with insomnia my whole life, so I literally don’t sleep some nights. At least when Baby comes, I’ll be doing something when I’m not sleeping other than staring at the ceiling! Second, don’t ask me if you’re going to put me down and invalidate how I feel. But also, lately since I’m 35weeks +4 days, I’ve occasionally finally gotten the “I know it’s hard but you’re so close” or “I bet you’re so uncomfortable at night”. Yesss thank you for finally encountering people who aren’t jerks!

Yep. This is everyday! Tell them you’re looking forward to going into labour. That will really get them going “oh you won’t be able to handle the pain” “you’ll regret saying that as soon as you get your first contraction”.

I was easily a million times more tired when pregnant than I am now with a 5 month old. Even when I had a newborn, I was getting more sleep than I did while pregnant. My daughter has been sleeping through the night (10 hours straight) since she was 5 week old lol

Oh yes. And someone asks me how I'm feeling, and I say my back hurts, DO NOT say "oh girl you have no idea, you still have 13 weeks of pregnancy left, your back doesn't hurt yet." Okay yes I know it will hurt worse but you asked how I am and right now it hurts!

I get better sleep now with my 6 week old than when I did when I was pregnant. People just have to make it seem like things are worse than what they are or that they know everything. Although my sleep may be interrupted cause he wakes up once during the night for a feeding, I’m not laying in bed wide awake cause im in so much pain and uncomfortable. I also don’t have to get up 3 times to go pee so💁🏻
