i recently had what i think was some kind of vaginitis, but i had no symptoms except moderate-to-sometimes-severe itching which disappeared in a couple days using betadine and other antibiotics. it is now over a week after the itching fully dissappeared, so i assumed it was safe to have sex with my boyfriend. he usually goes in pretty easily with some prep and its never been a problem - but this time, with the same amount of foreplay (i was thoroughly prepared) he had trouble going in and it hurt pretty bad, almost like my vagina felt significantly more narrow than before the vaginitis(?) so we decided to skip penetration. is this phenomenon from the prior infection? should i go to a gynecologist for it? if it helps, i’m 16.
