Fibroid/Concerned mother

I’m 17 weeks, almost 18. I️ had a sharp pain starting on my left side a few days ago, brushed it off, finally went to ER. I️ have a pedunculated (like a broccoli stalk coming off my uterus) fibroid. I️ had no knowledge about it prior to my pregnancy, and when they found it at 14 weeks, it was small and told me it was nothing to worry about.

It is now a considerable size, 10cm. It grows with the pregnancy hormones. This is causing me severe pain, 1-10, constantly at a 5. Going from standing up to sitting and vice versa is the worst, as well as laying down. When I️ lay down, I️ can feel it when I️ push down where it hurts, as compared to my right side where there is no pain.

I️ talk to my OB tomorrow about possible solutions/risks. No one seems worried about it and is stating that it is basically just going to cause me discomfort, and I️ will have to do “pain management” with Tylenol. (Which doesn’t help) baby is not affected at all, and is growing wonderfully.

Has anyone experienced this? What was the result? Thank you.
