Do you believe in young love?

Me and my SO have been together for a year and a half and I'm 18. I'm going to the military and we want to get married. We love each other so much and have a very healthy relationship. So when people say young people only have lust and not love, it sucks because they only focus on childish teens.

I've been with my husband since I was 15. I'm 24 now. I got so much disrespect from my own family as a teen. Funny, considering half my sisters are single and the other half on husband #2 or 3. Don't get me started on how many SOs my parents have gone through.

My husband and I started dating when we were 15. I'm just about to turn 30 and couldn't be happier. We waited until we were 25 to get married so we could get our lives in order, finish college, and know that we were ment to last. You don't have to be married to be together, take your time, there's no rush and you really can't go wrong with waiting for a while!

I was in love with my ex husband and we got married when we were 18....due to him being in the military and wanting to be able to live together. I completely understand that you love each other but that love needs to be able to survive the separation. Everyone told me I was too young, and looking back at it now, I was. I wouldn't change the past, but looking back 10 years I wish I would have waited.

I think young ppl can be in love. I was. But that love is not always or even usually the lasting true partnership type of love.

My brother met his wife at 16 and married like 10 years later after many breakups, having a child, dating other ppl. They've been married for about 7 years now. So total of 17 years of being together!  
I focused on my studies in HS and dated after graduating. I met my husband at 21 and got married a year later! He was 28! So yes I believe in young love, I am just glad I wasn't in love in high school! Haha although I do have a few friends that dated their sweetheart in HS and got married and they are still happily married with like 2-3 kids! Cheers to them!
