BBT help?

Question

I'm so new to having a hard time with TTC, I have no clue what tracking my bbt does. With our son we got pregnant right away, and now we are going on 6 months of trying. I just downloaded the app, so I've just started tracking my bbt, but what exactly am I looking for? My temps so far are under 97, I'm leaving the thermometer at my bedside table and taking it as soon as my alarm goes off in the mornings.

Bbt charting helps you see if you have ovulated. It doesnt predict when you are going to ovulate but it may give you an indication that you have ovulated with a temp rise for i think 3 consecutive days. It took me a couple of months of charting to work it out (im also on clomid). I actually find fertility friend app better for charting but thats just me. I can post one of my chart that i have ovulated if that helps?

I don't know how bbt works either but it can take a normal couple up to 12 months to conceive, you were very lucky the first time falling pregnant straight away! if I were you, I would use ovulation predictors. then you know when you need to bd and hopefully will have some luck!
